New Almería-Sevilla air link takes off on 15th January
The service is operated by Air Nostrum with tickets expected to cost 100 Euro
The new air link between Almería and Sevilla, operated by Air Nostrum, is to commence operations on 15th January, covering the 422 kms which separate the two cities in just under one hour. The President of the Junta de Andalucía, José Antonio Griñán, was in Almería province this Saturday and announced in Vícar that the service will operate two flights daily each way from Mondays to Fridays, with one flight a day in each direction on Saturdays and Sundays.
The exact flight schedule has yet to be determined, but it’s understood from El País that the first flight in the day will take off from Almería at around 7am, with the last flight back from Sevilla expected to leave the Andalucía capital at around 9 in the evening.
The aircraft which operate the route will have the capacity to carry at least 50 passengers and tickets are expected to be sold at around 100 €.
The service is subsidised by the regional government as a public service, for which Air Nostrum is to receive 12 million € over a four-year period to cover any deficit. (Via Original Source)
